Nintendo have stuck the magic mark on it’s next console, the sales of the Switch in the first month are key to a successful launch. Nintendo have done the math and feel they can shift 2 million of the new Home/Handheld console due for release next month. But with some feeling the console will bust that number could actually rise due to Pre-Orders.
Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima has also gone on to say that the company is committed to delivering more content for smartphones. He mentioned the success of “Pokemon Go” has boosted sales of the 3ds titles for the companies handheld.
All that has helped Nintendo to achieve a better than expected October to December profit of 64.7 billion yen ($569 Million) and that’s more than twice its same-period profit in the previous year.
The Switch is the first ever major hybrid console and hand held gaming device and goes on sale March 3rd.
