Am I the only one who thinks Nintendo should start manufacturing SNES systems again? It certainly seems to me that they could honestly sell them if they made them. The demand for SNES systems and games seems to be at a nearly all-time high, so I think they should re-manufacture them. I would especially love to see SNES re-released with many of the classics on cartridge
Both the NES & SNES are legendary old school consoles that set the gaming world on fire. The console war between Nintendo and Sega back in the day was insane and incredibly memorable. These day things have become boring in my opinion, with Sony & Microsoft releasing near-similar consoles with little to differentiate the two. To me, only Nintendo is trying to be unique and stand out from the crowd.
The NES classic was a huge hit before production stopped earlier this year. If Nintendo’s mini-sized classic gaming box’s popularity is anything to go by, it could change the way the company looks at its huge library of classic games.
People snapped up the NES classic as soon as it was released. There’s still demand today, with the £50 console going for well over four times its asking price on online auction sites.
If Nintendo go down the same route as the NES classic and only bundle certain games, then here is my opinion on a few of the games that should come with the machine.
– Super Mario World (1990)
– The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991)
– Super Metroid (1994)
– Super Mario Kart (1992)
– Street Fighter II (1991)
– Mortal Kombat II (1993)
– Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (1995)
– Super Mario All-Stars (1993)
– Earthworm Jim (1994)
