The release of the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy has taken the UK by storm, crashing back into the UK charts, as it were.
The N.Sane trilogy has managed to debut at number one in the gaming charts, a feat that each of the games could not achieve on their own when originally released back in the 90s. Here is the top 5 for last week’s UK game sales:
1 (-) Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (PS4)
2 (-) Micro Machines: World Series (PS4)
3 (6) Forza Horizon 3 (XO)
4 (1) Grand Theft Auto V (PS4)
5 (2) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (NS)
Keep in mind it is important to realize that this was also an extremely quiet week for new game releases, so it’s not like Crash & co had a lot of competition. Still, sales were extremely high, with most retailers becoming out of stock like Amazon.
The N.Sane trilogy has become the second biggest launch of the year overall, with Tom Clancy’s: Ghost Recon Wildlands retaining that top spot.
