Ho-Oh is available for limited time

Following the recent challenge set by Niantic, Pokémon Go players seemed ready to smash the Global Catch Challenge to get 3 billion pocket monsters. After this was achieved during early hours of Sunday morning (as promised) Niantic made region-locked Pokémon Farfetch’d available globally for two days. As it turns out, that wasn’t the only reward the developer was planning. It’s now making Ho-Oh, one of the Johto region’s two legendary Pokémon, available in Raid Battles worldwide until December 12th.

It has now been confirmed that the new Pokemon Go Ho-Oh Raids are live. Trainers should be able to find the new Raids popping up at random Gyms, although it should be noted that Ho-Oh is a Legendary Pokemon, and therefore pretty tough to take down.

Ho-Oh Raid Boss CP is 48276 and it can have Max Capture CP of 2222 (Level 20, perfect 100% IV).

Ho-Oh Raids are available until December 12 to everyone, meaning that no EX Raid passes will be needed to participate.

Let us know in the comments if you have managed to grab yourself a Ho-Oh already.
