Nintendo has unveiled its latest creation Called Labo, it is a series of DIY accessories for the hit Nintendo Switch console which are made of cardboard.
Nintendo said the range of “interactive build-and-play experiences” would be released on 20 April.
This cardboard accessory might seem like a silly gimmick, however history tells us Nintendo know what they’re doing.
This is the same company that brought us the Wii with its futuristic motion controllers. They have rightly earned a reputation for being innovative. Risky, but most of the time it pays off.
The educational potential is huge, although the price point of the Switch itself probably rules it out as something schools would be able to incorporate into lessons. If you remember when iPads were first announced, we never would have thought that they would be used in schools and workplaces like they are today.
