The beta for Metal Gear Survive is now available for download, for both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. From January 18th to 21st, you’ll be able to play 3 co-op missions from the game across 2 maps. Daily missions will also be available.
If you play on PlayStation 4 you won’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription, however Xbox One players will need Xbox Live Gold to play online.
Participating in the beta will give you certain rewards for the full game: a FOX HOUND nameplate, Metal Gear REX head accessory and a bandana for your character.
Keep in mind that save data will not carry over to the full game. The game itself will launch February 22nd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
If you haven’t heard much on this game before, Survive is a spinoff episode of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, in which a wormhole opens above Mother Base following its besiegement, and Big Boss and Miller’s escape. There’s also multiplayer, which sees you team with up to three players for some zombie horde mode madness.
