A Mario Kart game will soon be available on smartphones in the form of an app called Mario Kart Tour.
Nintendo announced the news on Twitter last week, stating: “The checkered flag has been raised and the finish line is near. A new mobile application is now in development: Mario Kart Tour!”
Mario Kart has been a fan favourite with gamers around the world since it launched in 1992.

Its no secret that the foundations of friendships have been broken playing the popular racing game throughout the years, many many arguments have likely started after being hit with the blue shell when you’re close to the finish line.
The app is set to be released in the fiscal year ending in March 2019 – meaning it could launch anytime between April 2018 and March 2019.
No other details have been released specifying on what the game will entail.
Nintendo have been developing smartphone versions of several games since 2015. So far, Super Mario Run, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Fire Emblem Heroes have all made it to mobile App Stores.
