The Crash Bandicoot N-Sane trilogy remaster was one of the biggest hits of 2017. So it’s no surprise that fans are already looking to other older PlayStation franchises that could get a fresh lick of paint. One title that everyone wants to see (besides Crash Team Racing, of course) is Spyro the Dragon.
According to Kotaku, game developer Activision is currently working on a remastered version of the Spyro the Dragon Trilogy, which will be announced as soon as March 2018 and released towards the end of the year.
The trilogy is supposed to be made up of first three games: Spyro the Dragon, Ripto’s Rage!, and Year of the Dragon.

The same studio that worked on the N-Sane Trilogy, Vicarious Visions, is said to be putting together the Spyro remaster. So you can definitely expect improved visuals, a remastered soundtrack, and other enhancements.
There will also apparently be a Sony exclusivity deal that will last one year, this should allow the collection to be released on other platforms at some point in 2019. The report also claims Sony made a similar one-year deal with Activision on the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, meaning that collection should come to other platforms later this year.
As a 90s kid who spent countless hours saving dragons i personally hope this is true! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
