Activision has officially announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is in development and will be released later this year — though it’ll be out sooner than normal.
Black Ops 4 is headed to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be released on Friday, October 12, almost a full month earlier than the typical November release that new Call of Duty games normally arrive.
This year’s game is being developed by Treyarch, the studio who developed the entire Black Ops series as well as Call of Duty: World at War. We’re hoping for a WaW remaster!
Unfortunately, beyond those basic details, Activision have not given any true information about the game. Instead, a special event will be hosted on May 17 where Activision will reveal the game in its entirety. We’ll cover all of the news that comes from the event right here. Will we get another future title or go back in time again akin to Call of Duty: WW2?
