Black Ops 4 will have Battle Royale mode called ‘Blackout’

During last nights community reveal event developers Treyarch announced “Blackout” – an all new Battle Royale game mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

The Battle Royale genre has blown up over the last two years with games like PlayerUnkown’s BattleGrounds and the free to play Fortnite – and now the Call of Duty franchise has decided to give it a go.

It’s important to keep in mind that Black Ops 4 will not have a traditional Campaign. BlackOut pretty much takes it place.

This is all we know about the mode so far;

  • 1,500 times bigger than Nuketown
  • 10 Years of Black Ops features, favorite weapons, characters, maps, all in one place… WITH VEHICLES
  • Zombies cast, weapons and gear

The Blackout mode will bring together loads of fan favorite maps, weapons, characters, and more from previous Treyarch titles and put them into a massive map to fight one another to see who can be last man standing.

If you have played either PUBG or Fortnite (if you haven’t, you’ve probably been living under a rock) then you’ll understand the base rules of Battle Royale and Blackout.
