Microsoft have announced through the Xbox Twitter account that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now backwards compatible on Xbox One. If you own the disc, simply insert the disc in the Xbox One tray and boom! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 joins CoD: Black Ops 2, CoD: Advanced Warfare, CoD: Ghosts, CoD 4: Modern Warfare, CoD 2, CoD 3, CoD: World at War, and CoD: Black Ops 1 on Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program. During last nights community reveal event developers Treyarch announced “Blackout” – an all new Battle Royale game mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. With a month to go until Activision reveal more about Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4, rumours have started to circulate that the highly anticipated title will feature a Battle Royale mode as well as no campaign at all. Well, who really plays the story mode anyway? If true, this will make Black Ops 4 the first Call of Duty game without a campaign. Kotaku has reported a source told the outlet that Black Ops 4 will include a battle royale mode. No details on the alleged mode are included, so no word of how many players will be in a single game. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is reportedly in the works – and apparently it doesn’t have multiplayer. CharlieIntel sources have indicated Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is real after a listing for the game popped up on Amazon Italy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One priced €19.99 with a 30th April release date. CharlieIntel also reported that materials were sent to them from a Raven Software employee stated Modern Warfare 2 Remastered does not include multiplayer. “The listing stated that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered would cost around $25, which is a lot lower than what Activision charged for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered in 2017. Black Ops 4 Confirmed as Next Call of Duty Game
Activision has officially announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is in development and will be released later this year — though it’ll be out sooner than normal. Black Ops 4 is headed to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will be released on Friday, October 12, almost a full month earlier than the typical November release that new Call of Duty games normally arrive. This year’s game is being developed by Treyarch, the studio who developed the entire Black Ops series as well as Call of Duty: World at War. We’re hoping for a WaW remaster! Unfortunately, beyond those basic details, Activision have not given any true information about the game.
