When Doom arrived back in 2016, it was already a very good-looking game. Thanks to the latest update to the Demon slaying shooter, the game now looks even better with a 4K graphics overhaul for the Xbox One X & PS4 Pro. “Every blast of the BFG, every demon glory kill, and every chainsaw slice through a Mancubus can be experienced like never before on consoles,” Bethesda said. If you own the latest and greatest in hardware from either Sony or Microsoft, i strongly urge you to pick up and play Doom. You will not regret it, especially in glorious 4K. Doom was released in 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version launched in November 2017. However, don’t expect a 4K update for the Switch any time soon.

It turns out that Skyrim isn’t the only game that Bethesda is bringing to the Nintendo Switch. The publisher announced that it’s porting both the recent reboot of Doom and the upcoming shooter Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to Nintendo’s latest consoled. Doom which launched in 2016 will be available before the end of the year. And while the PS4, Xbox One, and PC version of The New Colossus will be out next month, it wont be coming to the Switch until sometime in 2018. The company also finally announced a release date for Skyrim on Switch: that’ll be available on November 17th. Bethesda have also stated that the Switch port of Doom will have all the updates and DLC released for the original game except for the SnapMap level editor.
