BioWare is dropping support for Mass Effect: Andromeda’s campaign
In a statement from the Mass Effect: Andromeda team, it’s been confirmed that the campaign portion of the game will no longer receive support. The final update was 1.10, which included a small list of tweaks and bug fixes. Shortly after the games launch, BioWare released patch 1.06, known for fixing problems with the cinematics and fixing a wide range of bugs. Here’s the statement in full: “With each patch, you let us know we were heading in the right direction, and we’re grateful to everyone who joined us on this journey. We’re proud of what we created, and we hope you enjoyed it as well. Last year Gamespot reported that Mass Effect producer Fabrice Condominas that a multiplayer test would take place before the release of the new game Andromeda. But Bioware have said in a recent blog post about its place at the upcoming PAX East that the plan is now a no go. “Join us at the BioWare Base (room 2AB) and be one of the first to join APEX and defend our new home in Andromeda. Featuring different character kits each day, this is your chance to try out Mass Effect’s fast-paced cooperative multiplayer on PC,” BioWare wrote. “While we will have live multiplayer at PAX East, there will no longer be a multiplayer tech test for players at home. Electronic Arts have now released the Mass Effect: Andromeda requirements and to be quite frank PC gamers you will need a huge system to run this if you want to run into the new story and star system in style. The minimum Mercury: OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Processor: Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350 Memory: 8 GB RAM Video Card: Nvidia GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2GB Hard Drive: At least 55 GB of free space DirectX: DirectX 11 The awesome Apollo: OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX-8350 Memory: 16 GB RAM Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB, AMD RX 480 4GB Hard Drive: At least 55 GB of free space DirectX: DirectX 11 The specs are pretty much the same as battlefield one and EA have really gone to town on this game so hopefully when reviews come out it gets a damn good score.
