Today marks the 100th episode of State of the Game for Tom Clancy’s The Division. To mark the special occasion, developers Massive announced the following details about update 1.8.2 and the future of the game before E3 and the announcement of The Division 2. Update 1.8.2 brings 2 more legendary missions to the table, which are General Assembly & Madison Field Hospital. The new feature being added into 1.8.2 is Shields. However that will not be talked about until the Ubisoft E3 conference on Monday June 11th. Other features and changes that were talked about include new Encrypted Cache mark IV which introduce new vanity collections, and changes to the Predators Mark and Nomad Classified gear sets. Ubisoft announced a sequel to The Division during the weekly State of the Game (SOTG) yesterday, however don’t expect much more than confirmation of the game’s existence until E3. All we know right now is that it’s called Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, it’s being developed by Massive Entertainment with help from other studios like Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Bucharest.
